n ornate gothic revival flat is for sale in the St Pancras Chambers clock tower.

Harry Potter fans will recognise it as ‘King’s Cross Station’ in The Chamber of Secrets film; the crew deciding the majestic architecture of St Pancras was more glamorous than the real station.

Designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott, the landmark building dates from the 1870s with apartments and penthouse, some with 10-metre ceilings, above the Renaissance St Pancras hotel in Euston Road.

The £4.6 million home for sale is the only one with the original Victorian painted ceiling intact and is on the market with UK Sotheby’s International Realty.

The home for sale has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with a raised copper bath set on a mezzanine level above the master bedroom.

A corner apartment, with views over the rooftops of King’s Cross, the home was restored by the current owners as part of an extensive refurbishment project.

Kitchen shelves are made of reclaimed wood from a tree that used to stand on the street outside, while original station doors can be seen throughout the property.

There’s also “a world-class hotel, a private members club, gym and spa and of course access to one of the world’s most beautiful train stations,” said Shereen Malik-Akhtar of UK Sotheby’s International Realty.

Located in the same building as St Pancras International train station, the next owner will be able to make the most of Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam connections post-pandemic.

Also listed for sale in St Pancras Chambers in recent months is the iconic penthouse apartment in which the ceilings reach high into the turrets. Exposed brick and Victorian beams in the living space make a dramatic backdrop for a grand spiral staircase with central chandelier. The penthouse is for sale for £11.5 million, through Nest Seekers International.
