BAFTAS 2021: The best dressed stars on the night

From Vanessa Kirby in Versace to Emerald Fennell in Roland Mouret, there were plenty of high fashion looks at the BAFTAS 2021

There’s something about an awards ceremony held largely over Zoom which pushes the stars and their stylists to be even more creative. The BAFTAs 2021 were no exception, with actors tuning in from around the world - as well as a handful of talent at the Royal Albert Hall in London - in their finery.

At the IRL event in London, Bridgerton’s Phoebe Dynevor continued her stylish awards season streak in a dramatic custom-made asymmetrical gown by Louis Vuitton. White Tiger actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas, dressed by super-stylist Luxury Law, walked the eerily quiet red carpet with husband Nick Jonas (in Giorgio Armani) wearing an open embroidered cropped jacket and billowing white trousers by Spanish label Pertegaz, finished off with Bvlgari jewels.

Zooming in from Claridges (she’s got the right idea), Promising Young Women director Emerald Fennell gave it full-on glamour in draped organza Roland Mouret, while Vanessa Kirby celebrated her outstanding Pieces of a Woman performance in metallic Atelier Versace.

The boys also brought their a-game. Daniel Kaluuya, who won best supporting actor for his turn in Jesus and the Black Messiah, looked the part in a double layer ivory wool twill suit by Alexander McQueen, and Sound of Metal star Riz Ahmed teamed his navy mohair suit with a patterned polo neck, all by Prada.
